I have a major piece of evidence ok
so
context
as u might already know the Red String of Fate is used in East Asian culture to symbolise the connection between two destined lovers
have you ever looked at Ja’far’s wrists and arms?
he has red threads wrapped around his a p p e n d a g e s right?
And that red thread is connected to his daggers, Bararaq Sei, his connection to Sinbad (being his Household Vessel)
Sinbad who can see the path of fate & in addition saves Ja’far from meeting a terrible fate by literally taking fate into his own hands (more specifically, taking Ja’far’s fate into his own hands) thus intertwining their fates
do u see what i am sayin
The red cord wrapped around Ja’far’s arms is the Red String of Fate connecting him to Sinbad!
^^^^Good post op
Okay so like…I’m not sure why parts of this fandom find it so hard to believe that Ja’far was and remains to this day Rurumu’s adoptive child when it’s so obviously laid out in canon, but I’ve scene in a few places now comments that by the time the slave arc rolls around Ja’far’s relationship with Rurumu is “Strictly professional” and bears no resemblance to that of familial bonds or even a teacher/student dynamic, so here we are. I’m not sure what these comments even mean to say exactly either like are they insinuating that he was actually disowned or do they just think that he was never actually adopted?
Since I already covered the latter of those two here, I’m going to just assume that these comments where indicating that they somehow drifted apart and that Ja’far is no longer a part of Rurumu and HInahoho’s family. I find this all a bit ridiculous since we got the most interactions between Rurumu and Ja’far in this particular arc, but oh well let’s get into the analysis.

Some sinja hcs:
-ja'far and sin bathe together
-sin brushes ja'far’s hair while ja'far shaves sin’s scruff
-sin has ptsd induced nightmares about being enslaved by aum maudura and ja'far coaxes him through the night
-ja'far has his own nightmares about sin being held captive by aum maudura
-ja'far also has nightmares about being tortured by the Sham Lash, and sin comforts him through the night
-sin gives ja'far stress relieving massages
-pisti has called them “mom and dad” before
-“WHO’S MOM???!” is a much bigger argument than the implication that they’re married
-they’re married lol

Ohtaka’s Backstage vol.303:
“The picture is a storyboard of the previous chapter. It may appear like a simple drawing, but at that time I was still planning that part and deciding on the speed line and how to add the light and shadow effects. I was lost on how to portray Sinbad’s pose in the lower-right corner and was examining the possibilities (you can see the three arms in there)
There will be a new development in Magi this week. Characters we haven’t seen in a long while are going to make an appearance, please, read it!”
Note: ‘speed line=効果線’, refers to this:
The Fearsome Wild Sea Slug
Recently I was discussing Kougyoku’s crush on Sinbad with murasakihime, trying to figure out if she still has feelings for him, and I just happened to find something worth noting in Kougyoku’s profile of the Magi Encyclopedia:
"When they first met in Balbadd, Kougyoku fell in love with Sinbad at first sight. Although she desperately tried to convey her feelings, she was unsuccessful, her first love scattering ephemerally."
I know there’s been a bit of debate over whether or not Kougyoku still likes Sinbad, but it seems Word of God confirmed she doesn’t a year ago and English-speaking fandom just never found out.
