Sinja Trading Company

I saw a twitter thing noting that much earlier in the manga (volume 11 actually, I just bought the official version!), Kija mentioned that a lot of women in the village really wanted to get with the white dragon, to a point where one women got naked, broke into his room and charged at him one night, and ever since then being hit on aggressively by women freaks him out. Jae-ha kinda laughed at it and was like “wow lucky” typical dismissive dudebro response.

Anyway the tweet noted that with this chapter, Jae-ha probably wouldn’t find that story funny now. And yeah, judging from his reaction here, I think that’s probably true. I think he now understands how scary it is to have someone charge at you like that, to want to take ownership of your body.

I’m glad Kija being mobbed by drunk people and touched when he doesn’t want to be is treated as seriously as when it happens to Yona in the same page and Jae-ha moves in to protect him. It is creepy, and it is chilling, and both Kija and Yona have a right to be scared and upset.

Also from the position of Shin-ah’s arm it looks like he has his hand on Ki-ja’s back to comfort him in that last page and aw.

Rurumu and Mystras in SnB 180

During the meeting in SnB 180, Sinbad kicks it off by stating he is responsible for the many victims of the lost of the first Sindria, including Rurumu and Mystras, who are mentioned by name. As such, he says that the first thing he wants to do is apologize as a representative of the country.

Both fathers are silent at first, until Darius breaks the silence. It’s fine, he says; he has heard his son fought as a knight until the very end. Dying as a knight is part of their pride, so apologizing is in fact more of an insult. Rametoto laughs and agrees, saying that he instructed Rurumu in the way of the Warrior. I don’t completely understand the next phrase, but it’s something like that they know these things can happen, and they still allowed them to go, and their trust has not been affected.

At face value, this might seem rather cold. However, later on, Darius happens to see Alibaba practicing fencing, and his mind immediately flies to Mystras… and anguish clearly appears in his face.

It might be a simple sequence in comparison to the larger speeches mentioned above, yet it does say significantly more.
