yeah, your rationalization really is more sensible... and more poetic as well. the part about several djinns is a bit far-fetched in my opinion, but it makes more sense than zepar knowing something he shouldn't know. guess we'll just have to see... sinbad will suffer either way :/
It also didn’t sound quite well for me tbh. But the japanese raws seem to match the translation :3 I think it’s on purpose so his statement didn’t sound too obvious, even tho the situation strongly suggested he meant Solomon and David.
Yes, Sinbad is destined to suffer …..which is so unfair.
At the beginning of Magi’s plot, Sinbad was considered a miracle and Al Thamen despised him and used to assume he was part of Solomon’s arrogance. One of Solomon’s ways to deal with them and save the world from them. But Ohtaka isn’t addressing any of this anymore…
But still, I have a little hope. Sinbad’s reaction after the Alma Torran story, was of someone who was just enlightened in a positive way. It was nothing like, for example, when Light held the death note again and realized he was Kira and made a villian face. Yes, he said he realized it was David talking to him at that time and not him being crazy (poor bby), but all the white rukh around him and the phrase: So that’s what happened, King Solomon. Can he fake white rukh surrounding him? Probably, we don’t know how he hides his black rukh yet. But can he fake following Solomon’s will? If someone’s rukh is white, they are following Solomon’s will. Has Sinbad fallen to depravity for completely now or is he still half-fallen? Being half-fallen means he’s both following Solomon’s and Illah’s will? Why kept Sinbad appearing like a white figure while holding Arba’s hand, who appeared as a dark figure?
Despite Sinbad’s current “villianish” (?) attitude, is he actually planning to do something horrible?
Solomon ended up doing what David wanted. David wanted to somehow reach Magi’s plot. David wanted to be connected to Sinbad and be able to become god of the world, that’s why he allowed Solomon to “win” the battle back in Alma Torran. I’m sure Solomon realized this too late. I’m sure Solomon doesn’t want David to control the world. But I also think Sinbad doesn’t want that either. What Arba wants is a little tricky. She’s siding with Sinbad because he’s connected to David, which means he’s connected to Illah. But does she know Sinbad and David are two different people and have different wills? (ARE THEY DIFFERENT PEOPLE THO, that question scares me the most). What if Arba wants Sinbad to win, because she used to hate David before?
If Sinbad, Arba and Solomon don’t want David to be god, aren’t they in the same side? Also Sinbad said they must reach the sacred palace to change Solomon’s rules. Solomon himself regretted overlaping all dimensions and having the rukh follow his will. What if Solomon himself wants this to change and Sinbad actually understands what Solomon wants and is trying to do it?
ALSO, why did Ugo who wanted to kill Judar in Balbadd arc, revive Judar? Idk if I’m right but, the memory Judar has of being held by Ugo… Did Judar die and return to the sacred palace? How else would have he met Ugo? And Ugo chose to revive him and send him back to Alma Torran to help Alibaba. Why? Something has changed. Ugo suddenly changed his mind about killing Judar. What is he planning now? Or is this all to stop Sinbad/David?
I will most likely be wrong about this tho. If Sinbad was going to do something good, why would he hide it to his most trusted people? That’s what makes him suspicious the most. Also what will he be able to do to reach the sacerd palace? Will he harm Aladdin and the others? I’m very worried about it.
I have no idea where was I going with this but thanks for the ask.
